Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public sector institution, located in Barcelona (Spain) that promotes and develops innovative biomedical research at the University Hospital Vall d'Hebron.
VHIR is oriented towards finding solutions to the health problems of the citizens and has the will to contribute to the scientific, educational, social, and economic development within its area of competence around the world.
VHIR offers a Clinical Research Monitor position looking for a self-motivated person with experience in clinical research and/or clinical trial data monitoring.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Supporting CRFs and variables dictionaries development
- Coordinating and executing all aspects of the clinical monitoring process in accordance with good clinical practice and regulatory requirements (such as data entry, queries resolution, and data curation)
- Training and supporting clinical research personnel at collaborating sites in protocol procedures and implementation
- Reviewing data collection for accuracy and completeness
- Monitoring reports of the project status
- Identifying problems in protocol implementation
- Reviewing/solving regulatory issues
- Interfacing with clinical investigators, medical staff, management, lab technicians, and informaticians
- Reporting ongoing work and site-level problems to the Scientific Project Manager and project coordinators
- Traveling to collaborating sites (if needed) Education and qualifications: Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sciences
- Master’s degree in science
- Fluency in spoken and written English Experience and knowledge: Required:
- More than 4 years of experience in clinical research and/or clinical trials data monitoring
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organised
- Ability to work under deadlines
- Ability to work with human study participants
- Knowledge of auditing
- Knowledge of good clinical practice and regulatory requirements (i.e. personal data protection) Labour conditions:

Working hours
: Full-time (37,5 hours per week).
- Starting date: immediate incorporation.
- Gross annual salary: €24,000.00
- 26,000.00 Remuneration will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.
