Ebury is looking to add a full-time Junior Security Operations Engineer to join our Security Operations team.
**The role**
**Key responsibilities include**
Level 1 Security Incidents/alerts management and reporting through Ebury’s SIEM tool, including:
- Mail headers analysis.
- Antivirus / EDR alerts investigation.
- Intrusion Detection Systems alerts investigations for Desktop and Cloud environments.
- Log monitoring on Cloud and desktop/local networks environments
- Assisting on basic Employees security concerns
Supporting Security Operations tasks, including:
- Assisting with access policies procedures in accordance with role requirements, including UAR’s (User access reviews)
- Provide local and remote assistance to users if needed.
- Undertake small to medium-sized Security projects tasks as required.
- Analysis of CVEs as part of our Vulnerability Management processes.
**Skills and requirements**
Monitoring of ticketing system and the resolution of Level 1 Security Incidents and escalation to Senior members of the team when necessary.
Knowledge and experience in some of the following security areas (1 year expertise):
- perimeter security
- Desktop protection
- IDS/IPS
- Log analysis and Alerts
- Authentication management.
**Desirable basic knowledge and concepts**:
- Good understanding of business and technical information security concepts based on ISO 27001 standard.
- Data Protection principles and implementation
- Degree qualified in Information Security, IT, Engineering or any other security certifications/qualifications.
- Experience in the Financial sector.
- Experience in Cloud infrastructure (AWS and / or GCP).
**Personal skills**
- Hands-on security practitioner.
- Analysis and problem solving.
- Team player.
- Excellent communication in English, and Spanish is desirable, preferable Spanish native and fluent English, although not mandatory.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrate the highest level of ethical behaviour.
