**Sales, Hospitality Overview**
Hotels are at the forefront in a world where digital and physical experiences are coming together. Planet is excited about helping hotels help their staff and customers towards frictionless processes and experiences, with payment right in the middle.
Our Sales Hospitality team comprises of 150 employees globally and with the acquisition of Protel PMS, Hoist groups as well as Avantio, we are just getting started to provide a real feel good, connected experience at world's most well-known hotels.
**Role Overview**
Based in Spain, this role focuses on selling to the Hospitality vertical (Hotels, Resorts, F&Bs, Cruise Lines, Amusement parks.) Planet solutions & services to existing customers (Property Management Systems & Payments).
The Business Development Manager is an experienced, knowledgeable, and customer-obsessed professional who will sell and develop programs to deeper relationships with our merchants and create new value propositions that deliver growth.
Your responsibilities are to strengthen relationships and deepen engagement nutrition existing accounts by creating regular and frequent touch points, increasing the number of points of contact, influencers, and known stakeholders inside each merchant's organization, and defining and developing multiple merchant contacts within each merchant's organization. This role requires creativity (to connect with merchants in relevant, unique, and personalized ways), persistence (to demonstrate value to merchants for whom the strategic value of payments is not obvious), and vision (to understand where a merchant's business is headed and make sure Planet is a strong part of that future).

**What you will do**:
- Sell new products & Services to existing customers with a strong focus on Hospitality software combined with Payment solutions.
- Understand merchants' business needs and define success criteria as relevant to their unique business dynamics.
- Demonstrates client focus by building effective relationships with key executives and decision makers, identifying, meeting, and exceeding their expectations.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the client’s business and competitive landscape, and proposes solutions translating their needs into business opportunities.
- Resolves account issues through escalation or delegation to appropriate management and/or technical support teams.
- Closely monitors competition trends/moves and utilizes this information to produce effective sales plans and forecasts.
- Partner with internal and external teams to enroll merchants in growth initiatives.
- Break targets and pipelines into doable actions and set time frames to deliver them.
- Conduct deep dive analysis on issues affecting the merchant’s business performance and establish a periodic business review with the merchant that addresses key business issues.
- Ensure the Company targets and objectives are the Key Focus priority.
- Analyse portfolio trends, diagnose the root cause of performance and create actionable plans for operational improvements.
- Deliver marketing engagements with merchants.
- Report on portfolio status and performance to make portfolio value visible to internal stakeholders.
- Collect all the elements for AML/KYC for the on-boarding customer process.
