The Role: *
Masabi is looking for a Business Development Manager to identify, engage, and secure new transit-operator&authorities customers for the company’s highly successful mobile ticketing and fare collection products, as well as develop the right partner relationships for our success in this market.
We are looking for someone passionate about the future of transportation and mobility and are excited to deliver our technology to new customers and riders in Spain.
Reporting to our Business Development Director, this role will be critical to continued growth at Masabi, building on our existing global success and positioning Masabi as a market leader in the Spanish mobility and fare collection ecosystem.

Responsibilities: *
- Own the full sales cycle from account targeting to close.
- Create and manage an effective sales pipeline for the Spanish market.
- Build account plans to plan a strategy for customer capture; execute that plan and report on progress in line with the MEDDPICC sales methodology.
- Work with transit agencies to understand their business needs and constraints and how Masabi’s platform can help with those.
- Work with the bids team on RFP responses, defining a winning strategy and guiding client procurement processes.
- Collaborate with the broader team to manage the BDR workload to effectively support your opportunities.
- Analyse market trends and advocate for new market opportunities.
- Liaise with the product team to communicate opportunities and market requirements.
- Create pitch decks, demos and other content that positions Masabi to succeed with potential new customers.
- Advocate for Masabi’s fare collection and ticketing platform at industry events and conferences.
- Influence and lead the transformation of the ticketing tools in Spain from legacy tailor-made systems to service platforms.

- You are a self-starter and able to work independently.
- You are curious, want to push yourself to keep learning, and are willing to take on broad ideas from others. You are a natural communicator, excited to represent Masabi in the transit Industry ecosystem by engaging with transit agency executives, officials and industry partners.
- You are product-minded, able to engage in technical conversations with stakeholders and deeply understand market requirements.
- You are passionate about the future of transportation, mobility, and cities and are looking to make a difference in building the transportation technology ecosystem of tomorrow.
- You are highly persistent and comfortable with finding creative ways to engage prospective clients.
- You are diligent, organised, confident and able to manage deals from first contact through proposals and RFP responses to contract negotiations and deal closing.

- Solid sales experience (ideally software sales) to government authorities, enterprise businesses or within the transportation industry.
- Experience working for, or with, Spanish transit agencies or transportation operators, ideally having brought a product into the European market before.
- Managing 6 figure deals from start to finish.
- Government procurement management; effectively influencing, evaluating, responding, and delivering against RFPs.
- Comfortable with long sales cycles that require months and potentially years of grooming.
- C-suite relationship management and technology consultation.
- Product roadmap influence; you will play a role in driving Masabi’s product roadmap by strategically finding the right opportunities and advocating for them internally.

Masabi’s flexible working policy will allow you to work fully remotely, or from one of our offices in London, Cluj, New York, Denver or Boston. The choice about where you work from will be largely made by you. Regardless of where you choose to work from, you will be allowed to work outside of the country of your employment for up to 3 months each year.
