JOB DESCRIPTION:
Platforms Manager Europe (PME):
The Platforms Manager Europe must be a proven technologist who can adapt and respond to the ever-changing demands in technical sales excellence, market trends and travel tech solutions in the travel industry. This position requires securing loyalty, forging strong commercial and technical relationships, and overseeing the optimization of Hotelbeds APIs integrated by our technological partners. The PME is also responsible for directly managing platforms, from both commercially and technically perspectives, working closely with stakeholders (internally and externally), and coordinating and reporting results. The PME will directly report to the Client Technical Solutions Regional Manager Europe.
Main Responsibilities:
- The PME will handle from a technical point of view and commercially the top technological platforms of the European region.
- Work closely with direct sales to position and sell the company services and solutions - including conference calls, site visits, presentations, technical evaluations, technical objection handling, proposals, and follow up on all platforms-related technical and commercial requirements.
- Understand and have a ‘Bigger picture’ on how the platform operates in the market, to deliver Technical solutions / business opportunities adapted to client needs.
- Act as the technical / commercial point of contact for business partners to help facilitate communication with top European platforms.
- Act as enabler to ensure that proactively the technical gap analysis framework is fulfilled with the platforms identified within scope. This task can be done directly by the PME or with the support of a TAM when required.
- Define and execute a platforms framework to drive any business opportunity with a platform using a common approach as a baseline.
- Act as escalation point when required to unblock both issues and opportunities with top European platforms.
- Audit the European platforms performance, knowing who works with who and how, to have a complete overview of the market situation and ensuring the internal data cleaning / consistency of our CRM systems data related to platforms is a must.
- Proactively collaborate and communicate with external and internal (wholesale and Retail business lines) stakeholders to analyze information, business needs, and functional requirements.
- Lead all technical / commercial activities relating to key platforms in Europe.
- Provide post-sales technical support and resolve critical cases of the top platforms.
- Verify KPIs targets are met at the highest quality.
- Develop scripts / Tableau dashboards to automate, monitor, alert, and report on the platform’s performance, commercially and technically.
Qualifications:
- A Platforms Manager must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience on client’s / platforms management
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent / proven previous experience is needed.
- Wide knowledge about Distribution and optimization key points.
- Background in solving large and complex customer issues successfully by collaborating with senior leaders (customer and internal stakeholders).
- Analytical and proven track record in using data to drive growth opportunities (sales & technical) and decision makers.
- Advanced knowledge on data visualization tools management & data storytelling skills
- Knowledge of REST API, XML, JSON, and similar technologies.
- Experience working with Databases & SQL.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills both externally and internally (with technical and business stakeholders)
