Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa, Mallorca is located on a cliff and surrounded by pine forests looking over the fishing town of Port Soller. Its 121 spacious guestrooms and suites, all with private terrace or French balcony, enjoy stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea or views of the port and the impressive Tramuntana mountain range, a UNESCO Heritage site. The hotel offers three restaurants, three bars, two swimming pools and our Talise Spa. The hotel is divided into eleven low-rise structures ensuring that visitors experience a truly exceptional and natural environment.
**About the Role**:
An opportunity has arisen for Revenue and Reservations Assistant Manager position to join our Reservations Department in Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
Managing all transient rooms and procedures to maximize revenue and ensure at a minimum delivery of budgeted revenues. The Reservations Manager must demonstrate high energy levels in motivating the team and focus on providing consistently high levels of customer service, whilst managing and developing the relationship between the operational member.
- Developing a good knowledge of Revenue Management System - Ideas.
- Ensuring that the profiles within the Opera system are linked, to ensure effective sales tracking.
- Ensuring all rates are loaded correctly within the system to ensure accurate tracking.
- Being fully conversant with all functions of Jumeirah’ CRS system and ensuring that the information is effectively updated.
- Ensuring that all team members are at all times aware of the packages and offerings to market.
- Implementing a consistent method for reservations team to handle reservations inquiries.
- Ensuring reservations are taken accurately and traces are in place for front office to follow up as required.
- Ensuring that reservations include accurate billing details and that the accounts department have the required information.
- Ensuring all calls are answered promptly and converted.
- Developing and maintaining close working relationships with all departments and ensure that they are provided with accurate information.
- Attending all daily/weekly/monthly scheduled meetings within other departments.
- Providing accurate information to other departments.
- Ensure 100% tracking & account linkage within the Opera profiles.
- Review the monthly production and forecasting reports.
- Work with DOSM & DOR to ensure that the denial reports relate to the business demands, review on a weekly basis.
- Provide monthly summary reports of calls handled by the reservations department to RM to assess the manning hours of the department reflect the business needs.
- Regularly survey competitors in prescribed format to ensure correct pricing in liaison with sales and Revenue manager.
- Communicating the selling strategy to team.
- Creating an empowered, dynamic environment in which each team member can take responsibility and authority for their work and development.
- Effectively managing distribution of workload among team.
- Setting SMART objectives and goals for direct reports.
- Evaluating regularly team through performance reviews and ongoing feedback.
- Participating in recruitment process together with HR.
- Ensuring departmental training manual is in place & is regularly updated.
- Identifying ongoing training needs and make sure that reservations agents receive training in all areas in order to provide a consistent and professional standard of service to internal and external customers.
- Achieving as a minimum the objective/goal for accuracy of reservations within the customer surveys.
- Researching market trends and generate new ideas for service and product that we will maintain a leading edge over the competitive set.
**About you**:
- High level of written and verbal business English and Spanish.
- Commercially focused (targets and results).
- Organized and disciplined.
- Knowledge of Opera.
- Another language.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
**Qualifications**:
- Business related degree.
**Experience**:
- At least 2 years in a senior reservation's role.
