About us:
Ferrovial Airports is one of the world’s leading private airport investors and operators. It currently operates a portfolio of four airports in the United Kingdom: Heathrow, with a 25% stake, and a 50% stake in AGS Airports, which owns Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Southampton airports. Ferrovial Airports also holds a 49% stake in the consortium appointed to design, construct, and operate the New Terminal One at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport in the United States and a 60% stake in Dalaman International Airport concession in Turkey.
Through its Ferrovial Vertiports division, Ferrovial Airports is developing a network of agnostic vertiports in Europe and the United States. Vertiports are the essential infrastructure for the safe take-off, landing, and recharging of electrical vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
**Job Description**:
The Corporate Development Graduate collaborating with the Vertiports UK Managing Director will be responsible for giving support to the team in a variety of areas (see below).
Functions:
- Performing preliminary analysis and monitoring of potential location and site opportunities.
- Prepare case studies (country’s profile, characteristics and risks, its valuation, etc.).
- Analyze and elaborate the required information for the preparation and negotiation of site acquisition opportunities (primarily leasehold opportunities).
- Collaborate in the Due -Diligences for any bidding project working together with other teams and external resources.
- Give support to our Team through market intelligence and business presentations.
- Work with and organize the internal (primarily US and Spain) and external (eg: property developers, design team, OEM’s, airline partners and others as appropriate) team members in order to progress Ferrovial Vertiports’ market entry strategy for Europe (with an initial focus on the UK)
- Represent Ferrovial Vertiports at external events, ensuring our view of how and why UAM will be relevant to people (in line with our demand forecasting)
**Requirements**:
- University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Capacity Planning, Project Management/Delivery.
- Experience in investment banking, corporate finance, business development, new ventures (e.g.: start-ups), project or program delivery or property development in multinational companies in the infrastructure or utilities sector.
- A very high level of English and Spanish is a must
- Experience in financial models and technical knowledge in aviation will be highly valued
- Open to working with ambiguity and formulating/contributing to a reasoned implementation strategy is critical
