Four Points by Sheraton Barcelona Diagonal, part of the prestigious Marriott chain, is looking for a Junior Chef who is passionate about cooking and eager to learn and grow in a professional environment. This position is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual looking to gain experience in a city hotel and develop their culinary skills.
**Responsibilities**:
- Plan and supervise food preparation in all points of sale of the hotel, including the restaurant, bar and banquet service.
- Develop innovative menus that satisfy the needs and preferences of our guests, while maintaining high quality standards.
- Manage the kitchen team, including hiring, training and developing staff.
- Guarantee compliance with all food safety and health regulations in the kitchen.
- Control food and beverage costs through efficient inventory management and waste minimization.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
**Job Requirements**
- Passion for cooking and the desire to develop a career in the culinary sector.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and skills in preparing a variety of international and local dishes.
- Culinary training or previous experience in a professional cooking environment (can be a cooking school, kitchen internship, etc.).
- Ability to work as a team, with skills to lead, motivate and train kitchen staff.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn constantly.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Availability to work rotating schedules, including weekends and holidays.
