**Job Summary**

The Sherwin-Williams is seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Area Continuous Improvement Manager** to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across our facilities, ensuring the implementation of best practices, and promoting a culture of excellence.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement robust measurement systems to identify areas for improvement and track progress.
  • Lead the adoption of lean tools and six sigma methodology to eliminate losses and increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with facilities to execute the Standard Work program and achieve pillar certifications.
  • Coach operational teams in continuous improvement techniques and help them develop a proactive culture.
  • Develop training programs and conduct training sessions on continuous improvement tools.
  • Challenge production teams to drive improvement momentum and create reports to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Assist facilities with maintaining their continuous improvement projects and analyzing processes for improvement.
  • Ensure proper communication of goals and processes to meet SW standards.
  • Participate in design reviews and review implementation requirements to understand site personnel or resource needs.
  • Build and lead implementation plans for each facility to maintain 5-year plans for Standard Work and other CI initiatives.
  • Promote and share best practices as a key aspect of the Regional Team.
  • Drive standardization efforts to ensure better sharing of equipment, parts, and knowledge.
  • Assist facilities with process issues and analyze production work trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create reports for sites/regions as needed through analytics tools.
  • Audit sites for certification or sustainability of CI certifications.
  • Partner with Area Controllers or Area Directors to prioritize facility needs and encourage a management by fact mindset.

**Requirements:**

  • Proven experience in continuous improvement and lean six sigma methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Experience with training and development programs.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of operational efficiency.
