About the Role

As a Senior Continuous Improvement Expert at Hitachi Energy, you will play a critical role in driving business excellence and customer satisfaction. Your primary objective will be to deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget, while preventing customer problems by improving processes and reacting quickly to quality issues.

You will be part of the Global Black Belt Pool, supporting Hubs and Global Product Groups worldwide by coaching and leading high-quality improvement projects. Your expertise will contribute to the definition of Continuous Improvement (CI) processes and tools, as well as CI training deployment and execution to develop CI capabilities and methods across the organization.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Coach Behavioral Change: You will coach the behavioral change to continuously improve performance through project execution and contribute to the cultural transformation across the organization.
  2. Implement L6S Strategy: You will implement the Lean Six Sigma (L6S) strategy, objectives, and targets across the organization in alignment and collaboration with the Business Unit.
  3. CI and L6S Expertise: You will act as the CI and L6S Subject Matter Expert, providing help and guidance on methods, tools, and templates to drive CI projects.
  4. Partner with Management Teams: You will partner with management teams and functional experts to understand their organization's vision, objectives, and challenges.
  5. Sustain and Improve CI Processes: You will sustain and improve the CI processes, tools, and trainings on various methodologies, including L6S, PDCA, and 8D.
  6. Share Best Practices: You will drive the sharing of best practices, new processes, tools, and improvements achieved through the application of CI methodologies.
  7. Live Core Values: You will live the core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your Background
  1. L6S BB Certification: You must have L6S BB certification with a minimum of 5 years of experience in coaching and leading CI projects across multiple locations.
  2. Continuous Improvement Experience: You must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in continuous improvement, preferably in the energy or engineering sector.
  3. Global Program Leadership: You must have proven experience in leading and developing global programs.
  4. Change Management: You must have demonstrated experience in leading and managing change in a dynamic, international, and fast-paced environment.
  5. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: You must have excellent analytical skills and data-driven decision-making, as well as exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
  6. Education: You must have a university degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  7. Language Skills: Fluency in English is required, both written and spoken. Other languages are considered a plus.
