About the Role

Leap29 is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to join our team in Madrid. As a key member of our Management Committee, you will play a crucial role in driving our ambitious expansion plans across various business units, including renewable energy generation, data centre infrastructure, water desalination projects, and green hydrogen and biofuel derivatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Development: Define and develop commercial strategies in collaboration with other strategic departments to expand our business footprint in Spain and internationally.
  • Business Management: Oversee commercial budgets, forecasts, and prepare comprehensive offers and proposals. Lead high-level negotiations and establish a network of strategic alliances in the sector.
  • Project Leadership: Manage key projects, including M&A transactions and the coordination of subsidies and aid, ensuring compliance with reporting obligations to the CEO and shareholders.
  • Market Adaptation: Adapt strategies to different markets and cultures, leveraging your expertise in energy purchase and sale management (PPA and HPA), and negotiation of bilateral agreements.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong track record in commercial management, particularly within the renewables or telecommunications sectors. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Business, Renewable Energy, or Finance.
  • In-depth knowledge of the renewable energy sector, both nationally and internationally, and a strong grasp of the market dynamics.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills in both Spanish and English, with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Availability to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.
