About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Settlement Operations Analyst to join our team at IATA Consulting. As a key member of our Settlement Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of financial transactions and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Transaction Management: Prepare and execute bank orders for collection and settlement of Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) and Cargo Accounts Settlement System (CASS) funds according to scheduled calendars and in alignment with IATA financial policies.
  2. Discrepancy Resolution: Perform matching activities, monitor bank statements, and follow up on discrepancies as required, prepare and take action on exception reports.
  3. Reconciliation and Reporting: Prepare Hinge Account Reconciliations ensuring the accuracy of the report and the execution of the necessary actions to clear open balances. Prepare external reporting for customers and assist in the preparation of internal reporting for IATA management.
  4. User Guide Development: Prepare and update Settlement Operations user guides including country-specific requirements.
  5. Process Improvement: Assist management in the application of standard and best practices throughout the operations.
  6. Customer Support: Coordinate with the Customer Service department to attend to customer queries related to the operations.
Requirements
  1. 2-3 years of experience in treasury and/or finance-related matters.
  2. Strong PC skills, particularly in MS Office Excel and Access.
  3. Fluency in spoken and written English.
  4. Knowledge of another language would be an advantage.
  5. Relevant Aviation Industry Experience (Airlines, Travel Agencies, etc.) is a plus.
  6. Customer focus, learning agility, planning and organizing, attention to detail, teamwork, cultural intelligence; good communication skills, proactive approach.
