Engineering Manager for Urban Projects

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineering Manager to lead our Urban Projects in Madrid. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for piloting the technical aspects of the project or tender, working closely with teams across the business, and representing the project technically to the customer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Contractual Scope Management: Manage the technical contractual scope of the project, ensuring that all aspects are met and delivered on time.
- Customer Acceptance: Be accountable for the customer acceptance of the project solution, ensuring that it meets their requirements and expectations.
- Risk Management: Manage the project technical risks and develop a mitigation plan to ensure that the project stays on track.
- Contractual Scope Evolution: Work with the Project Manager to manage contractual scope evolution, rising variation orders, and ensuring that they are managed effectively.
- Technical Design Choices: Validate technical design choices with peers and the Solution Director to ensure that they align with the project's goals and objectives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Identify applicable regulations in the customer country/city and ensure that they are taken into account in project solution design.
- Project Solution Management: Manage the project solution, customizing and parameterizing the generic solution to meet Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) commitments.
- Requirements Database: Build and analyze the project requirements database (PRD) with the Project Architect and allocate requirements to System Program Manager (SPM), Project Industrialization Manager (PrIDM), and to Project Engineering team.
- Project Change Control Board: Act as the chairman of the Project Change Control Board (CCB).
- Engineering Activities: Be responsible for project design and application engineering activities, supervising Verification & Validation activities.
- Engineering WP QCD: Be accountable for Engineering WP QCD.
- BOM: Provide Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Project Solution Validation: Complete validation of the Project Solution.
- Team Leadership: Functionally lead the project engineering team.
- Project Safety Case: Verify Project Safety Case.
- Interface Management: Manage the interface with the project core team.
About You:
We value passion and attitude over experience. As a Project Engineering Manager, you will have:
- A strong engineering background.
- 3-5 years of previous experience in Urban systems.
- Previous project management experience is preferred.
- Previous experience working on cross-functional teams.
- Previous rail industry experience is preferred.
- Knowledge on engineering tasks to be performed.
