Project Engineering Manager for Urban Metro Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineering Manager to lead our Urban Metro Projects in Madrid. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for piloting the technical aspects of the project, working closely with teams across the business, and representing the project technically to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Project Management: Manage the technical contractual scope of the project, ensuring that all technical aspects are aligned with the project's objectives.
- Customer Acceptance: Be accountable for the customer's acceptance of the project solution, ensuring that it meets their requirements and expectations.
- Risk Management: Manage the project's technical risks and develop a mitigation plan to minimize their impact.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with the Project Manager to raise variation orders and manage them effectively.
- Technical Design: Validate the technical design choices with peers and the Solution Director, ensuring that they align with the project's objectives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Identify applicable regulations in the customer's country/city and ensure that they are taken into account in the project solution design.
- Project Solution Management: Manage the project solution, including customization and parameterization to meet Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) commitments.
- Requirements Management: Build and analyze the project requirements database (PRD) and allocate requirements to System Program Manager (SPM), Project Industrialization Manager (PrIDM), and to Project Engineering team.
- Change Control: Act as the chairman of the Project Change Control Board (CCB).
- Engineering Activities: Be responsible for the project design and application engineering activities, supervising Verification & Validation activities.
- Engineering WP QCD: Be accountable for Engineering WP QCD.
- BOM Provision: Provide Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Project Validation: Complete the validation of the Project Solution.
- Team Leadership: Functionally lead the project engineering team, allocating tasks across the team and ensuring engineering activities follow-up.
- Team Organization: Define the project engineering team organization according to the project phase, as defined in the EMP.
- Engineering Process Deployment: Deploy the applicable engineering process, methods, and tools on the project.
- Team Evaluation: Manage and participate in the evaluation of the project engineering team.
- EHS Rules: Share Environment, Health, and Security (EHS) rules with the project engineering team.
- Team Assessment: Support the assessment of teams involved in project engineering activities, including those from different Regional Centers.
- Project Safety Case: Verify the Project Safety Case.
- Interface Management: Manage the interface with the project core team.
- Technical Documentation: Provide all technical documents to the project core team members for industrialization, sourcing, installation, test, and commissioning.
- Troubleshooting: Solve technical issues detected by different core team members.
- Warranty Support: During project warranty, coordinate actions to support the resolution of pending technical issues following Project Warranty Manager (PrWM) requirements.
- Knowledge Capitalization: Support RC Project Engineering Domain/Metiers Department Head to define/perform knowledge capitalization.

- Engineer profile is a must.
- 3-5 years previous experience in METRO systems.
- Previous project management experience preferred.
- Previous experience working on cross-functional teams.
- Previous rail industry experience preferred.
- Knowledge on Engineering tasks to be performed.
- Fluent in English.
- Fluent in French is desirable.
