Job Summary
Sibelco is a global leader in industrial minerals, with a presence in 31 countries and a team of over 5,000 people. We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Partner to join our team in Bilbao, Spain.
About the Role
The Strategic Business Partner will serve as the link between our business and IT functions, providing expert advice and guidance on business process improvements and IT-related solutions. This role will focus on strategic relationship management, project management, and developing business cases that will drive business process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact between our business and IT functions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Strategy Definition: Contribute to the development of our business strategy, identifying opportunities for growth and proposing initiatives to drive business process improvements.
- IT Demand Management: Manage the IT demand for our business functions, ensuring that business-added value IT solutions and services are provided.
- IT Roadmap Management: Define and manage IT roadmaps and plans for our business functions.
- Financial Management: Manage the financials (budget/actuals) within the delegation of authority framework.
- Project Management: Coordinate and manage all projects for our business functions.
- Team Management: Manage the product organization and the people within them to enable them to achieve and be successful in their assignments.
Requirements
- Master's Degree or Equivalent: A master's degree or equivalent through experience.
- Work Experience: At least 8 years of work experience in a specific functional business environment and related IT systems.
- Industrial Minerals Knowledge: Practical understanding of the industrial minerals industry.
- Sibelco Knowledge: Broad breadth and depth knowledge of Sibelco processes, products, and markets.
- Finance Knowledge: Understand basic finance principles, strong business acumen, and high analysis capability.
- Language Skills: Oral and written fluency in English and Spanish are a must.
