Role Overview
As an Information Security Risk Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to safeguard the integrity of the organization's information systems and data while ensuring compliance with applicable information security policies, standards, and regulations. You will conduct risk evaluations, address client inquiries, and oversee third-party vendor assessments. Additionally, you will work closely with the Data Privacy Team and various IT and business units across Europe to identify and mitigate risks through the implementation and auditing of security protocols and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive risk evaluations of the organization's IT systems, processes, and data, assessing the effectiveness of current security measures and identifying vulnerabilities.
- Address client information security inquiries and provide documentation evidencing the organization's security posture and compliance status.
- Examine client and vendor agreements related to information security to ensure alignment with established policies and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments of third-party vendors to confirm adherence to the organization's security standards and contractual obligations.
- Develop and refine security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure alignment with organizational goals, client needs, and regulatory mandates.
- Facilitate security awareness training for employees and stakeholders to promote a culture of security consciousness.
- Monitor and report on the organization's security performance and compliance status, recommending corrective actions and enhancements as necessary.
- Maintain thorough documentation of compliance activities, including policies, procedures, risk assessments, and audit findings.
- Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry-specific regulations.
- Provide expert guidance on information security matters, including data classification and access control.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in laws, regulations, security trends, threats, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of experience in IT risk management, audit, or compliance roles focused on information security.
- Familiarity with security frameworks, standards, and regulations, including ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and SOX.
- Understanding of risk management frameworks, with a preference for knowledge of quantified risk management approaches.
- Solid grasp of information security principles and practices, along with proficiency in security tools and techniques to identify and mitigate risks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information security concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CRISC are advantageous but not mandatory.
