Job Title: Underwriter Italy

Chubb is seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our Continental Europe Underwriting Center in Madrid. As an Underwriter, you will play a key role in supporting small and medium-sized clients and brokers in Italy, providing excellent service and ensuring portfolio sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional service to brokers and stakeholders, including the local country team.
  • Underwrite and evaluate risks in accordance with Chubb guidelines and underwriting authority.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and sales teams to promote our offering and exploit cross-selling opportunities.
  • Review and adapt underwriting offers, leading contract negotiations with brokers.
  • Support brokers handling small and medium-sized enterprises by maintaining good commercial relationships and providing quality service.
  • Ensure effective management of policies throughout their life cycle.
  • Cooperate with internal departments such as Operations, Claims, and Small and Middle Market Segments leaders.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Native speaker or bilingual in Italian is a must.
  • Business level of English is a must.
  • Previous experience in insurance is a must.
  • Previous experience as an underwriter is desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and willingness to deliver and improve the quality of our offerings.
  • Good analytical skills to identify improvement opportunities in the Chubb policy and instrument life cycle.
