Job Overview

Chubb's Continental Europe Underwriting Center in Madrid plays a vital role in the company's EMEA business. As a key member of this team, you will support small and medium-sized clients and their brokers in their native language, working closely with the Team Leader for France.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Client Service and Communication: Provide exceptional service to brokers and stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  2. Risk Underwriting and Evaluation: Underwrite, evaluate, and price risks in accordance with Chubb's guidelines and underwriting authority.
  3. Business Development and Growth: Work closely with underwriting and sales teams in France to promote portfolio sustainability, cross-selling opportunities, and business growth.
  4. Contract Negotiations and Policy Management: Review and adapt underwriting offers, lead contract negotiations with brokers, and ensure effective policy management throughout the life cycle.
  5. Broker Support and Relationship Management: Maintain strong commercial relationships with brokers, providing quality service and meeting deadlines for small and medium-sized enterprises.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Cooperate with internal departments, such as Operations, Claims, and Small and Middle Market Segments leaders, to achieve business strategies.
Requirements and Skills:
  1. Language Proficiency: Native or bilingual in French is a must, with a business-level proficiency in English (C1).
  2. Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, law, insurance, or engineering is preferred, along with experience in the insurance sector and prior underwriter experience in Casualty, Environmental risks, and Life sciences.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
