Job Title: Export Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Export Manager to join our team at Ophtec Bv. As a key member of our Commercial Office, you will be responsible for growing our export market and developing strategic plans to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the Export Plan, focusing on several European countries and the Latin American market.
  • Inform, advise, and train ophthalmologists and distributors to build long-term customer relationships and achieve sales targets.
  • Report to the Global Export Manager and collaborate with colleagues from the Commercial Office.
  • Represent Ophtec at international congresses and participate in frequent travel (at least 50% of your time).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and several years of experience in an (international) sales role, preferably within medical devices.
  • Knowledge of ophthalmology is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Excellent communication skills, a well-developed empathy, and knowledge of other cultures.
  • Strong negotiation skills, highly motivated, self-starting, and recognizing negotiation opportunities.
  • Didactic skills and well-developed fine motor skills are very useful for providing training.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
