Job Title: Buyer Indirect Materials

Celestica is seeking a skilled Buyer Indirect Materials to support the implementation of a world-class manufacturing environment for current and future projects.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining local and regional responsibility for a specific indirect commodity or group of indirect commodities for price/value determination, sourcing, negotiations, terms & conditions, and supplier relationship development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain local and regional responsibility for a specific indirect commodity or group of indirect commodities
  • Quote and negotiate all indirect materials and services under the assigned commodities
  • Identify opportunities for increased value proposition
  • Analyze the market and recommend alternative suppliers
  • Negotiate services & purchase agreements terms and conditions
  • Evaluate suppliers' performance and recommend solutions for cost savings/avoidance, on-time deliveries, and overall quality
  • Support internal customers to resolve quality, serviceability, and performance-related issues
  • Issue purchase orders in accordance with company procedures
  • Manage purchase orders and generate reports related to the position
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a similar position
  • University graduate/Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Good negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Possesses very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • SAP application (MM) knowledge is a plus
