Procurement Specialist

Celestica Inc. is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in a key role that involves managing indirect materials and services. As a key member of our Supply Chain Management team, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts with suppliers to ensure the best possible value for the company.
Key Responsibilities- Price/Value Determination: Maintain local and/or regional responsibility for a specific indirect commodity or group of indirect commodities for price/value determination, sourcing, negotiations, terms & conditions, and supplier relationship development.
- Quotes and Negotiations: Quote and negotiate all indirect materials and services under the assigned commodities according to Indirect Procurement process/procedures.
- Market Analysis: Identify opportunities in the assigned commodities for increased value proposition and analyze the market to recommend alternative suppliers where applicable.
- Supplier Performance Evaluation: Evaluate suppliers' performance and recommend solutions for cost savings/avoidance, on-time deliveries, and overall quality.
- Internal Customer Support: Support internal customers to resolve quality, serviceability, and performance-related issues for products or bid activities.
- Education: University graduate/Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a similar position.
- Skills: Good negotiation, communication, and presentation skills; ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines; good command of written and spoken English; very good knowledge of Microsoft Office; SAP application (MM) knowledge is a plus.
