Role Summary: The Commercial Cost Manager will report to the Vice President, Supplier Management, and be responsible for driving best cost for medium to high-profile clients. This role requires market-level industry expertise and an in-depth understanding of the competitive telecommunications market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review Telecom Access costing for clients and opportunities to ensure optimal pricing and allocation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure competitive quotes and negotiate prices.
- Collaborate with Sales, Sales Engineering, and Supplier Management teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Facilitate large bid reviews with suppliers to ensure GTT leads with competitive costing.
- Negotiate prices with suppliers to secure discounts and optimize costs.
- Monitor and analyze quote accuracy, timeliness, and delivery timescales to ensure best-in-class performance.
- Maintain a database of quotes to estimate budgetary costs and track similar requests.
- Provide feedback to Sales and presales teams on project details, technical requirements, and carrier commercial matters.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing historical data and producing reports.
- Escalate issues with suppliers to the respective Supplier Manager as needed.
- Review large client renewal opportunities and provide recommendations to the Account Team.
Required Experience / Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the ability to process large amounts of data, including prices, products, and technical details, and have a strong understanding of the telecommunications industry.
