Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Power Generation Field Service Technician to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Zaragoza, Spain. This role involves providing expert service and support for our power generation systems, ensuring minimal downtime for customers and enhancing their satisfaction and trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficient Repairs: Diagnose and complete complex repairs on generators and components, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers through courteous and professional interactions, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
  • Proactive Service: Anticipate and address customer needs promptly, demonstrating commitment to excellent service and leading to positive customer experiences.
  • Technical Expertise: Use specialized tools and follow procedures to diagnose and repair issues, showcasing technical skills and ensuring high-quality repairs.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance activities to prevent future issues, ensuring the reliability and longevity of power generation products.
  • Problem Escalation: Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced technicians or supervisors, ensuring complex problems are addressed efficiently and maintaining service quality.
  • Accurate Documentation: Complete necessary documentation accurately, supporting warranty claims, quality control, and service records, contributing to operational efficiency.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with regulations, protecting both you and your customers.

Requirements

  • Proactive and Customer-Oriented Approach: Be proactive in identifying and addressing customer needs and maintain a customer-first mindset, helping to build strong relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Strong Diagnostic Skills: Translate customer complaints into effective troubleshooting plans, using specialized tools and software to diagnose and resolve issues accurately.
  • Knowledge of Power Generation Systems: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of power generation systems and adhere to safety standards, enabling you to diagnose and repair systems efficiently and safely.
  • Effective Communication and Teamwork: Communicate clearly and handle complex situations, whether working independently or as part of a team, ensuring smooth operations and successful repairs.

Qualifications

  • Apprentice Certified Power Generation/Mechanical Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Current relevant mechanical certification
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • Medium English level
  • Medium level field service work experience. Previous experience in the industrial field, generating sets, diesel mechanics in general. Experience preferably in the Data Center environment. High experience in diesel engines.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products
  • Availability to cover emergency service
