About the Role

Nutreco, a leading global provider of innovative solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in enhancing safe and reliable operations through the application of automation and electrical engineering expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Apply automation and electrical engineering expertise to optimize process control systems and ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Technology Manager to identify automation development opportunities and share best practices.
  • Design, specify, program, simulate, and test automation and control systems to meet Nutreco's global standards.
  • Develop automation standards and guidelines aligned with Nutreco's global standards and create replicable automation templates and solutions for use in diverse locations and projects.
  • Provide troubleshooting support and perform root cause analyses for production issues, proposing preventative measures to minimize downtime.
  • Support new project design, installation, and commissioning, including travel for testing in vendor facilities.
  • Maintain the entire process control system and develop automation projects for new facilities, as well as implement improvements in existing ones.
Requirements
  • Industrial or Industrial Automatic and Electronic Engineering degree, or any bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or computer engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in implementing automation projects following ISA-88 and ISA-95 standards.
  • Proficiency in automatic process control for both continuous and batch processes.
  • Ability to work as a team and collaborate with other departments.
  • Languages: Spanish and high level spoken and written English (minimum B2).
