As a Field Technical Engineer within our Electrophysiology (EP) team at Abbott, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the effective use of our EP portfolio within assigned territories. This exciting position requires an individual with expert knowledge and skills to provide clinical consultation, teaching, and support on the use of all EP products during electrophysiological procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert clinical consultation, teaching, and support on the appropriate application of EP products in hospital settings (catheter laboratories).
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of current and new therapies and technologies within the therapy area, including competitor devices, as well as a general understanding of the country's healthcare market.
- Resolve common customer problems and respond to unexpected customer requests with urgency and positive action.
- Offer technical support to the EP salesforce; proactively communicate information and discuss product placement and complex case support with the sales team.
- Understand business priorities, awareness of sales targets and trends, marketing messaging, and describe desired or actual business results in measurable terms.
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Sciences or Medical Engineering (Biomedical Engineer preferred).
- Ideal electrophysiology/cardiac rhythm management clinical experience or equivalent industry role.
- Familiarity with catheter lab and operating room procedures, strong cardiac anatomy and physiology knowledge, and active listening skills.
- Able to work autonomously, adapting to procedures' duration and irregular/uneven work days, with 25% time spent touring the area and driving license required.
- Mandatory location: Cataluña, with fluency in English (B2-C1 level mandatory).
- Professional image and communication skills.
- Ethical character, hard worker, high confidence, and proactive approach.
€45,000 - €60,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience, with additional benefits and opportunities for professional growth within Abbott.
