Lead Front Desk Associate

As a Lead Front Desk Associate with Marriott International, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Your primary responsibility will be to assist staff in expediting problem payments, follow up with guests regarding satisfaction with guest-related issues, and process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys.
You will also be responsible for processing all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. Additionally, you will anticipate sold-out situations and obtain satisfactory alternative accommodations when the property cannot accommodate guests with reservations.
In this role, you will also process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges. You will answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.
Furthermore, you will coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in. You will run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy.
Cash handling is another critical aspect of this role. You will cash guests' personal checks and traveler's checks. Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks.
You will also count bank at the beginning and end of shift. Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.

Preferred Qualifications
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
License or Certification: None
