About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineering Manager to join our team at Alstom Gruppe. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of our Rolling Stock, Signalling, and Power systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animate Engineering Technical Issues meetings and Action follow-up
  • Prepare and attend to Contractual failures meetings
  • Produce clear and concise technical documentation in the form of specifications, test procedures, modification instructions, maintenance and safety instructions, and technical reports
  • Continually review all Maintenance, Reliability, Overhaul, and associated documents to ensure all are up-to-date and correctly formatted
  • Act as a technical expert, continuously develop expertise in selected field
  • Propose and define insertion of technology as HealthHub (Catenary Tracer, Track Tracer, Point Machine Tracer, Train Tracer,..)
  • Develop the local repair ability in Barcelona, specially the electronic repair as APS or Agate2
  • Demonstrate business case for localisation of the maintenance activity (Corrective, Overhaul...)
  • Respond to Client request received through letter or Monthly Report comments
  • Support optimisation of the maintenance schedule and casualty repair procedures in light of service experience and Operations feedback including:
    • Justification of inspection periodicity
    • Specification of materials and tools
    • Arranging and carrying out validation of tasks
    • Carrying out product/process audits of depot maintenance and casualty repairs
  • Support the production of the preventive & corrective & overhaul LCC, then optimisation
  • Performance Measurement : LCC /Reliability improvement Customer satisfaction Product Safety
  • Accountabilities : Achievement of objectives within agreed timescale and budget
  • People: between 1 to 5 directs reports

  • Recognised engineering qualification
  • Languages: Spanish, high level; English, technical level
  • Coordination and management ability
  • Experience in RS Warranty
  • Good knowledge off railway systems
  • Previous LCC experience
  • Good understanding of railway maintenance requirements and costs
  • Previous vehicle reliability/safety engineering experience, preferably in a railway background
  • Resilience and sense of the hard work
