About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linguistic QA Test Lead to join our team at Alpha Crc Ltd. as a key member of our Localization QA department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Linguistic QA testers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective testing strategies and high performance.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive LQA test plans and strategies for all game projects, ensuring thorough coverage of linguistic aspects and efficient testing processes.
  • Collaborate with localization, production, and development teams to understand game features and updates, ensuring alignment between LQA activities and project goals.
  • Oversee the identification, documentation, and tracking of linguistic bugs and defects, working closely with developers and translators to prioritize and resolve issues.
  • Establish and maintain LQA metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of testing efforts and the quality of the localized products.
  • Stay up to date with the latest linguistic testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends to continuously improve the LQA process.
  • Facilitate communication between LQA team members and other departments to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Participate in the hiring, training, and professional development of LQA staff.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory standards related to game localization and linguistic quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Game Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in linguistic testing, with at least 2 years in a QA leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of LQA methodologies, tools, and processes in the gaming industry.
  • Experience with various gaming platforms (PC, consoles, mobile) and genres.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing and motivating teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools.
