We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linguistic Quality Assurance Team Lead to join our team at Alpha CRC Ltd. as a key member of our Localization department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Linguistic QA testers, developing and implementing comprehensive LQA test plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality localized gaming experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Linguistic QA testers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective testing strategies and high performance.
- LQA Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement comprehensive LQA test plans and strategies for all game projects, ensuring thorough coverage of linguistic aspects and efficient testing processes.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with localization, production, and development teams to understand game features and updates, ensuring alignment between LQA activities and project goals.
- Establish and maintain LQA metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of testing efforts and the quality of the localized products.
- Quality Assurance and Bug Management
- Oversee the identification, documentation, and tracking of linguistic bugs and defects, working closely with developers and translators to prioritize and resolve issues.
- Professional Development and Compliance
- Stay up to date with the latest linguistic testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends to continuously improve the LQA process.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory standards related to game localization and linguistic quality assurance.
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Game Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in linguistic testing, with at least 2 years in a QA leadership role.
- Strong understanding of LQA methodologies, tools, and processes in the gaming industry.
- Experience with various gaming platforms (PC, consoles, mobile) and genres.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing and motivating teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools.
- Passion for gaming, languages, and a commitment to quality.
