- Bug Management: Oversee the identification, documentation, and tracking of linguistic bugs and defects, working closely with developers and translators to prioritize and resolve issues.
- Metrics and KPIs: Establish and maintain LQA metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of testing efforts and the quality of the localized products.
- Professional Development: Stay up to date with the latest linguistic testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends to continuously improve the LQA process.
- Communication: Facilitate communication between LQA team members and other departments to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Staffing: Participate in the hiring, training, and professional development of LQA staff.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory standards related to game localization and linguistic quality assurance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Game Development, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in linguistic testing, with at least 2 years in a QA leadership role.
- Skills: Strong understanding of LQA methodologies, tools, and processes in the gaming industry. Experience with various gaming platforms (PC, consoles, mobile) and genres. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills. Strong leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing and motivating teams. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools.
