About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Account Protection Specialist to join our team at American Express. As a key member of our fraud management team, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential fraudulent activity on our consumer and business accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize fraud management techniques and tools to review existing accounts and identify potential fraudulent activity
  • Analyze data to determine the appropriate course of action to minimize potential loss to American Express
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls from customers, maintaining a professional working relationship between American Express and the customer
  • Deliver world-class customer service, offer custom solutions, and negotiate a positive outcome for the customer and American Express
  • Investigate allegations of fraud, counsel fraud victims, and perform identity restoration duties
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a customer-facing role or contact center environment
  • Knowledge of fraud management techniques and tools
