About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced people leader and analytical individual to join our Planning & Reporting Team at Mews. The ideal candidate will have approximately 10 years of experience, likely from a financial planning and analysis (FP&A) role, management consultancy, or a similar role within other hyper-growth companies working with software as a service (SaaS) and technology companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously re-forecast the business together with business partners in the organization.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and strategic guidance.
  • Prepare the story of the difference between forecast and actuals for the management team, board, and relevant investors together with the FP&A lead and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor a team of 5-7 professionals to further growth within their respective professional remits as well as skillsets.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track the success of strategic initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Finance team (Business case and Discovery unit) through the Analytics team in Planning and Reporting to make data-driven recommendations for further growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a people manager with a background in attracting, retaining, and developing talent.
  • Likely held an FP&A or Strategic Finance Manager/Director position within a SaaS or fintech business.
  • Proven track record of building and evaluating business cases and financial models. Driving business impact.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of SaaS and fintech industries is highly desirable.
  • Experience with geo and segment expansion strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools.
