**Job Summary**
At Syngenta Seeds, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Solanaceae Germplasm Development team. As a key member of our Vegetables and Flowers Seeds Development Leadership Team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the global germplasm development strategy for Solanaceae crops, including Tomato and Pepper.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute the global germplasm development strategy for Solanaceae crops, maximizing portfolio diversity through internal resources, collaborations, and strategic acquisitions while ensuring regulatory compliance and IP protection.
- Lead and mentor the global Germplasm Development team, driving product development, trialing, selection, and continuous process improvement to deliver high-value varieties to customers.
- Champion the integration of advanced breeding methods, data analytics tools, and cutting-edge technologies to accelerate the development of new, high-performing varieties.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators across the product development lifecycle, taking corrective actions to ensure targets are met.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with research, production, trait integration, and commercial teams to align efforts and ensure successful market adoption of new products.
**Requirements**
- Proven experience in leading global teams and developing strategic plans for germplasm development.
- Strong understanding of breeding methods, data analytics tools, and cutting-edge technologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
