Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Specialist to join our Casualty Claims team at AXA XL Iberia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the setup, investigation, negotiation, and settlement of all assigned claims, providing exceptional customer service and achieving effective outcomes in a cost-effective and profitable manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough loss investigations on all assigned claims, determining where recoveries can be made while adhering to agreed-upon time and budget constraints.
  • Maintain accountability for all assigned claims until settlement or closure is reached, ensuring accurate and timely claims status updates to internal and external customers.
  • Proactively monitor your claims portfolio to prevent inactivity in the handling process, obtaining proper authorization if settlement value exceeds personal or file authorization limits.
  • Ensure fair and timely payouts to customers, maintaining accurate records of relevant activities relating to the claim in our systems and adhering to claims procedural and documentation standards.
  • Liaise and build relationships with internal local and global AXA XL departments, supporting underwriting and sales processes.
  • Contribute to and foster a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law
  • Several years of experience in handling casualty claims, with specialized knowledge of other LoBs claims being a plus
  • Fluent Spanish and English
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, combined with a strong work ethic
  • Customer-centricity: place the customer at the center of all decisions and actions, understanding and anticipating customer needs and behaviors
  • Digital agility: utilize digital tools and media to optimize work and communication processes
  • Ability to respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation
  • Organizational skills to ensure correct management of workload
