We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Specialist to join our Casualty Claims team in Madrid. As a Senior Claims Specialist, you will play a key role in the setup, investigation, negotiation, and settlement of all assigned claims, providing high-quality customer service and achieving effective outcomes in a cost-effective and profitable manner.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Claims Management: Conduct thorough loss investigations on all assigned claims, determine recoveries, and work within agreed time and budget constraints.
- Claim Portfolio Management: Maintain accountabilities for all assigned claims until settlement or closure is reached, proactively monitoring the claims portfolio to avoid inactivity in the handling process.
- Customer Service: Provide accurate and timely claims status updates to internal and external customers, ensuring a fair and timely pay-out is achieved.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of relevant activities relating to the claim in our systems, ensuring claims procedural and documentation standards are maintained.
- Liaison and Relationship Building: Liaise and build relationships with internal local and global AXA XL departments, supporting underwriting and sales processes.
- Team Collaboration: Contribute towards and foster team spirit, working closely with the Casualty Claims Team Leader, Spain.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Law
- Experience: Some years of experience in handling casualty claims, with specialized knowledge to handle other LoBs claims a plus
- Language Skills: Fluent Spanish and English
- Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, combined with a strong work ethic, customer centricity, digital agility, and organizational skills
