As Operations Director EMEA - Logistics Optimization, you'll be close to the business, responsible for streamlining product flow across the EMEA market, warehouse structures, and KPIs promoting operational efficiency.

About the Role

This position leads the way in order management, logistics, and repair processes in the EMEA region, with some areas connected to APAC. Key responsibilities include:

  • Successfully integrating existing roles into an efficient group leading EMEA operations for both B2B and B2C distribution.
  • Driving continuous organizational development, ensuring the team is fit for its purpose, and securing new resources when needed.
  • Leading, empowering, and coaching the team, responsible for salary reviews, performance development, and KPI development.

Key Challenges and Responsibilities

You will oversee order management processes, leveraging Dynamics 365 to optimize order flow and reduce lead times. Inventory levels will be monitored and analyzed to ensure effective stock allocation meeting demand and preventing over- or under-stocking. Inbound and leadtimes from APAC will be closely monitored. Collaboration with sales, marketing, and product teams will ensure seamless order fulfillment and inventory management. The right logistics supplier base will be ensured, fitting company requirements and objectives in the short and long term. Regular business reviews will be conducted with suppliers, defining content and frequency as well as supplier documents and KPI's. Cost savings targets will be defined and followed up.

The position will also involve creating and maintaining operational processes, ensuring high customer service. Global strategies will be implemented and aligned with EMEA needs. Budget ownership for logistics and transportation - EMEA will be managed. Channel programs like the 'authorized reseller program' and other channel compliance programs (e.g., WEEE) will be managed, including related monitoring and reporting. RMA terms and programs will be evaluated and improved.

Your Qualifications and Experience

You should have a solid understanding of the dynamics between sales and logistics. A curious mindset and solution-oriented approach are essential. An empathic people person with great stakeholder management and leadership skills is required. You are self-driven and thrive in a dynamic environment. Relevant experience includes:

  • 3-5 years in a similar position working across EMEA.
  • Experience with ERP transitions and optimizing flows and processes.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), IT infrastructure, 3PL, and EDI integrations.
  • Qliksense and Dynamics 365 proficiency.
  • Leadership skills.
