Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Specialist to join our Global Operations team in Amsterdam or Madrid. As a key member of our EMEA Trade Compliance Team, you will play a critical role in supporting Organon's global non-commercial clinical product supply from a Trade Compliance perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage trade compliance for Organon's non-commercial supply globally;
  • Collaborate with Organon functions such as Tax teams, Finance, Transportation, and third-party customs brokers to ensure timely physical movements, customs release, and onward supply of Organon shipments;
  • Liaise with internal Organon stakeholders to communicate trade compliance requirements, including contract manufacturers;
  • Ensure full trade compliance awareness with regards to import and export of Organon products, including different Organon entities and customs brokerage power of attorneys;
  • Collaborate with the GTC team to improve infrastructure and processes related to these shipments and compliance with Organon Global Trade Compliance Standards;
  • Interface with Customs Authorities representatives;
  • Act as the trade compliance point of contact for Organon shipping sites and external manufacturers, custom brokers, specific to outsourced operational projects;
  • Develop and update trade compliance work instructions and SOPs independently;
  • Participate in setting up and maintaining Service Level Agreements with customs brokers and shipping sites.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or comparable professionalism;
  • Relevant work experience in trade compliance;
  • Experience with/knowledge of SAP is highly preferred;
  • Experience in leading projects, preferably within an international matrix organization;
  • Expert knowledge of trade compliance-related subjects, including incoterms, HS codes, import/export licenses, and intercompany/end-customer valuations;
  • Process-oriented, analytical, and able to work both independently and in a team;
  • Strong communication skills; a high sense of accuracy, and client-driven;
  • Proficient in English language.
