Moderna is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager, Trade Operations to join our team in Madrid. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our international trade activities comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Trade Compliance Management: Develop and implement comprehensive trade compliance programs to ensure compliance with Spanish and EU regulations.
- Export/Import Compliance: Oversee the operational processes for export and import compliance, including valuation, export licensing, technical data, foreign travel, re-exports, re-transfers, and export and import shipments in Spain.
- Customs Compliance: Provide technical advice on customs topics such as classification, origin, valuation, special procedures, and ensure accurate maintenance of trade compliance records.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including GDPR, and maintain relationships with government regulatory agencies.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to maximize corporate efficiency and minimize regulatory risk.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, International Business) or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of work experience, including at least 4 years of experience in a compliance, legal, auditing or investigation role in life sciences.
- Skills: Strong operational knowledge and experience in import and export compliance policies and audit procedures, knowledge of bonded warehouses, special regimens, and 3PLs, and proficiency with SAP GTS and SAP Fiori.
