Job Title: Trade Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Specialist to join our Global Operations team at Organon. This role will be based in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) or Madrid (Spain) and will report into the EMEA Trade Compliance Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Organon's global non-commercial clinical product supply from a Trade Compliance perspective.
  • Collaborate with Organon functions such as Tax teams, Finance, Transportation, third-party customs brokers, to ensure timely physical movements, customs release, and onward supply of Organon shipments.
  • Liaise with all internal Organon stakeholders to communicate trade compliance requirements, including Organon's contract manufacturers.
  • Ensure full Trade compliance awareness with regards to import and export of Organon products, including the different Organon Entities and Customs Brokerage Power of Attorneys (POA's).
  • Collaborate with the GTC team to improve the infrastructure and process related to these shipments and compliance with Organon Global Trade Compliance Standards.
  • Interface with representatives of Customs Authorities.
  • Act as the Trade compliance point of contact for Organon shipping sites and external manufacturers, custom brokers, specific to outsourced operational projects.
  • Develop and update trade compliance Work Instructions and SOP's.
  • Participate in setting up and maintaining Service Level Agreements with customs brokers and shipping sites.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or comparable professionalism.
  • Relevant work experience in trade compliance.
  • Experience with/knowledge of SAP is highly preferred.
  • Experience in leading projects, preferably within an international matrix organization.
  • Expert knowledge of trade compliance related subjects, including incoterms, HS codes, import/export licenses and intercompany/end-customer valuations.
  • Process-oriented, analytical, and able to work both independently and in a team.
  • Strong communication skills, a high sense of accuracy, and a client-driven approach.
  • Proficient in English language.
