About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Port Operations Executive to join our team at TUI Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing agency vessel operations for our port calls.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a primary liaison between Cruise Line, port authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth and efficient handling and processing of vessel operations for their port of calls.
- Coordinate vessel arrival/departures and berthing arrangements with port authority, terminal operators, security, government entities, and maritime service providers.
- Facilitate vessel entry/clearance procedures, including customs, immigration, health formalities, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work in close collaboration with suppliers to ensure we deliver safe, healthy, and sustainable service.
- Attend administrative duties, including night shifts, as required by labor schedule needs.
- Plan and book transportation, accommodations, and other travel arrangements for clients.
- Resolve any problems that arise during emergency calls.
- Solve day-to-day issues and propose improvements to workflow to enhance productivity and efficiency in port operations.
- Monitor vessel movements, port, and weather conditions to anticipate operational challenges and minimize disruptions.
- Compile and submit updates throughout the day for vessel operator and Cruise Line's corporate managers.
- Complete sailing documents required for invoicing/billing within an acceptable timeframe.
- Actively participate in conference calls with vessels and/or cruise lines when needed.
- Coordinate/provide medical assistance and provide follow-up/updates for any medical disembarked crew or guest.
About You
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish language, both written and oral.
- Current residency in Mallorca and active driver's license.
- Good academic background. Maritime studies are desirable.
- Preferred previous experience as a Port Agent.
- Availability to rotate night shifts.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good office administration and organizational skills with a keen eye for attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Orientation to results and customer service; decisive problem-solving.
