People & Culture Coordinator - Mallorca

We are seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to join our team at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca. As a key member of our pre-opening team, you will be responsible for the daily operations and functions of our People & Culture department. Your role will involve interacting with all personnel members, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the security and confidentiality of all information throughout the hotel. You will also support the recruitment process, training administration, and perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager/Director of People & Culture. Key responsibilities include ensuring the smooth operations of daily People & Culture functions, interacting at a high level with all personnel members, and maintaining accurate and complete records of personnel movements and compensation & benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in People & Culture, preferably in the luxury hospitality industry, and possess a positive and proactive attitude, with a strong sense of responsibility. You will also have attention to detail, be self-driven, a team player with good interpersonal skills, and proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, in Spanish, Catalan, and English, with strong presentation skills are also required. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensuring the smooth operations of daily People & Culture functions
  • Interacting at a high level with all personnel members
  • Maintaining accurate and complete records of personnel movements and compensation & benefits administration
  • Ensuring security and confidentiality of all information throughout the hotel
  • Supporting the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, and issuing employment contracts as required
  • Supporting the Learning & Development Manager in training administration
  • Performing any additional duties as assigned by the Manager/Director of People & Culture
As a People & Culture Coordinator, we expect from you:
  • At least one year of experience in People & Culture, preferably in the luxury hospitality industry
  • A positive and proactive attitude, with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Attention to detail, self-driven, a team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, in Spanish, Catalan, and English, with strong presentation skills
