Key Responsibilities

As a Plastics Purchaser at Bredlak, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing purchasing strategies for virgin, off-grade, recycled, and scrap plastics. Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Execute purchase strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers
  • Coordinate logistics with our head office
  • Prospect in Spain to recruit new suppliers, possibly Portugal as well
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers for recurring business
  • Recommend future business strategy by studying market trends and other industry players
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-3 years of experience in international trade / purchasing
  • Knowledge of the polymers industry, with specific experience in the trading market being a plus
  • Proficiency using a CRM system and Google Suite
  • Self-directed, organized, and demonstrated ability to develop long-term business relationships
  • Language Proficiency: Spanish and English (language of work); additional languages such as French, Dutch, or others are a plus
