Plastics Purchaser Job Description

BREDLAK is a pioneering trading company in recyclable and non-prime materials, headquartered in Lille, France, with offices in Spain and India. We buy and sell plastics, metal scrap, and non-prime steel products globally. Our markets span Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. As a dynamic company with a multicultural DNA and high ambitions, we are on a mission to drive a circular economy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute purchasing strategies for virgin, off-grade, recycled, and scrap plastics.
  • Purchase materials from Spain for international sales.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers.
  • Coordinate logistics with our head office.
  • Prospect in Spain to recruit new suppliers, possibly Portugal as well.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers for recurring business.
  • Recommend future business strategy by studying market trends and other industry players.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in international trade/purchasing.
  • Knowledge of the polymers industry, with specific experience in the trading market being a plus.
  • Proficiency using a CRM system and Google Suite.
  • Self-directed, organized, and demonstrated ability to develop long-term business relationships.
  • Language Proficiency: Spanish and English (language of work); additional languages such as French, Dutch, or others are a plus.
