Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Plastics Purchaser to join our team in Spain.

  • Location: Zaragoza, Spain (on-site)
  • Duration: 12-18 months (as per eligibility criteria for a V.I.E)
Key Responsibilities

As a Plastics materials purchaser, you will play a critical role in developing and executing purchasing strategies for virgin, off-grade, recycled, and scrap plastics. You will focus on purchasing material from Spain to be sold internationally. You may also have opportunities to cover additional products.

Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Execute purchase strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers.
  • Coordinate logistics with our head office.
  • Prospect in Spain to recruit new suppliers, possibly Portugal as well.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers for recurring business (frequent interactions, travels, and attending exhibitions).
  • Recommend future business strategy by studying market trends and other industry players.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in international trade/purchasing.
  • Knowledge of the polymers industry, with specific experience in the trading market being a plus.
  • Proficiency using a CRM system and Google Suite.
  • Self-directed, organized, and demonstrated ability to develop long-term business relationships.
  • Language Proficiency: Spanish and English (language of work); additional languages such as French, Dutch, or others are a plus.
