Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dynamic Plastics Procurement Specialist to join our team in Spain. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing purchasing strategies for virgin, off-grade, recycled, and scrap plastics. Your primary focus will be on purchasing materials from Spain for international sales. You may also have opportunities to cover additional products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute purchasing strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers.
- Coordinate logistics with our head office.
- Identify and recruit new suppliers in Spain and potentially Portugal.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers for recurring business, including frequent interactions, travel, and attending industry exhibitions.
- Recommend future business strategies by analyzing market trends and industry players.
- 1-3 years of experience in international trade/purchasing.
- Knowledge of the polymers industry, with specific experience in the trading market being a plus.
- Proficiency in using a CRM system and Google Suite.
- Self-directed, organized, and demonstrated ability to develop long-term business relationships.
- Language Proficiency: Spanish and English (language of work); additional languages such as French, Dutch, or others are a plus.
