Job Summary
The Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving budgeted room nights and average rate targets in the Mexican market for the Hotel Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid. This involves conducting market research, setting sales targets, and creating action plans with Top Producers to achieve our goals. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience as a leader in sales, preferably in the luxury hotel industry, and a strong network of connections. Proficiency in Salesforce and previous working knowledge of PMS systems are also essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the Mexican market
* Set sales targets and create action plans with Top Producers to achieve our goals
* Review, analyze, adapt, and implement market findings with the Senior Director of Sales
* Maintain and develop effective working relationships with key industry decision-makers
* Lead, coordinate, and build the managed Group Business sales efforts
* Proactively manage, qualify, solicit, and book all requests
* Organize and conduct sales appointments/sales calls
* Organize and conduct training sessions and presentations for clients
* Maintain a high level of prospecting, focusing on the development of new business
* Effective management of a portfolio of key accounts through planned sales activities
* Maximize sales activities to ensure occupancy, rate, and yield objectives are achieved in accordance with transient sales plan and goals
Requirements
* At least 2-3 years of experience as a leader in sales
* Previous Five Star/Luxury Hotel Sales Experience is essential
* Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
* Must have an established network of connections
* Proficient with Salesforce and previous working knowledge of PMS systems
* Maintain a professional appearance and conduct personal behavior in a mature professional manner when representing the Hotel or company
