Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Structure Strategist to join our team at GoStudent. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing tax planning strategies aligned with the company's overall financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute tax planning strategies to minimize the organization's tax liability
  • Monitor and assess the impact of new and existing tax laws on the company's operations and financials
  • Review the group's legal entity structure, contract setups, and flow of goods to identify and optimize VAT, CIT, and Commercial Tax
  • Analyze service and cash flow arrangements to ensure tax efficiency and compliance
  • Work closely with legal and financial teams to restructure entities and contracts as necessary
  • Continuously seek new ways of working to make tax processes run smoother and faster
  • Execute new and alternative ideas and approaches to enhance tax function efficiency
  • Lead initiatives to automate and streamline tax processes using the company's existing tech stack
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and support on complex transactions
  • Stay updated with the latest accounting standards and updates to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Collaborate with the finance team to address technical accounting issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or equivalent certification preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in tax accounting or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of EU and country-specific tax laws and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in accounting software
  • Strong communication skills in English and German, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
