About the Role

SMA Ibérica Tecnología Solar, S.L.U. is seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to join our experienced sales team in Madrid or Barcelona. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and meeting distribution sales targets within your designated sales area or accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand business relationships with existing local key accounts and acquire new distribution partners to reach sales targets.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase SMA's market share in the residential, commercial, and industrial segments.
  • Provide professional technical solutions, consultancy, and product training to key accounts and maintain long-lasting relationships.
  • Prepare and lead tenders for photovoltaics inverter acquisitions and develop sales and distribution strategies to ensure success.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to prepare forecasts and meet customer expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with the local Sales Director and the German sales and product management department.
  • Contribute to cross- and service-product bundle selling and participate in trade shows and conferences.

Requirements

  • Highly qualified Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a strong affinity for technical products.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in direct, indirect selling, and distribution of sophisticated technical products, preferably in a multinational company.
  • Proven experience in distribution business, including whole sellers.
  • Excellent Spanish and English communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and dynamic approach to sales, with a strong focus on results.
  • Strong team player with a flexible and success-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in PV sales involving local clients is an advantage.
  • Availability to travel 70% of the time for customer visits, trade shows, and other business activities.

Job Type

Full-time / Permanent position with a 6-month trial period.
