Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Service Engineer to join our team at Vertiv. As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to our customers, ensuring their UPS equipment is running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to service calls in a professional and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Read, understand, and comply with all procedures outlined in the Field Procedure Manual, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety protocols.
  • Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to established company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure spare parts are properly accounted for and managed, using established parts procedures to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Keep the Dispatching Team informed of your schedule and the status of all open jobs, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Maintain the accuracy of customer listings by reporting errors and discrepancies, ensuring data integrity and quality.
  • Submit weekly paperwork in a timely and accurate manner, and provide debriefs on performed jobs to customers and stakeholders.
  • Keep company vehicles clean, neat, and properly maintained, adhering to company standards and policies.
  • Report and promote sales or service leads to the proper department, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Attend customer meetings as required, building strong relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Be a reference point for key customers in case of emergency and troubleshooting, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Ensure availability to work during weekends and nights, in compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
  • Work closely with department supervisors to assist with day-to-day operational duties, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.

Requirements

  • Secondary school diploma or university degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, with a basic level of English proficiency.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in technical service areas, working in a service or test environment of UPS equipment.
  • Computer literacy and valid driving license, with travel availability and weekend availability (frequently scheduled with little notice).
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to effectively plan, organize, and manage time.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to work independently and as part of a team.
