Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tourism Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving the growth and development of our tourist destinations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and contributing to the company's overall success.
Key Responsibilities- Destination Development: Develop and implement strategies to position Mar de Pulpí as a premier tourist destination, creating a sales structure that encourages off-peak season bookings.
- Business Strategy: Collaborate with the area management to define and plan the objectives for the development of the vacation business, ensuring alignment with the company's overall vision and goals.
- Promotional Activities: Execute promotional actions, customer acquisition, and retention strategies according to the annual business plan, including attendance at trade shows and other promotional activities.
- Commercial Agreements: Manage commercial agreements with travel agencies, associations, and other entities to boost vacation traffic, and assist in maintaining a sponsorship network that supports the destination's growth.
- Sales and Pricing: Drive the achievement of targeted arrivals and average prices, working closely with other departments to design, implement, and sell tourist packages that position Mar de Pulpí as a quality destination.
- Sales Promotion: Encourage sales across the promoter's chain to clients, coordinating with various teams to ensure customer and prescriber satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Lead the team of collaborators at the sports center and supermarket, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of the team.
- Event Planning: Contribute to the development of Mar de Pulpí's event plan as a tourist destination, ensuring alignment with the company's overall vision and goals.
- Education: Tourism/business administration with a specialization in hotel management.
- Skills: Strong knowledge in sales strategy and planning, with experience in the commercialization of vacation and tourist packages.
- Experience: Proven experience in team management and leadership, with a strong track record of driving business growth and development.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; knowledge of a third language is an asset.
